Holiday Activities in the Twin Cities
If you aren't getting into the holiday spirit yet - you're going to be soon! We put together a list of some great activities going on the in the Twin Cities for the rest of the month that will get you ready for the rest of the holiday season and to kick off the New Year.
Holidazzle
The Holidazzle has been one of our favorites for years. They are hosting it in Loring Park this year and they have plenty of activities, food, and beverages to enjoy while you're there. Don't forget to check out all of the local vendors that they will have there.
Runs Thursdays - Sundays, November 23rd - December 23rd
The Nutcracker
See this classic ballet performance featuring the Russian Ballerina, Natalia Sheptalova, as the Sugar Plum Fairy. The performance will have a full symphony to accompany the dancers. Located in Minnetonka at the Lindbergh Center Auditorium.
Saturday, December 15th at 1:00pm & 7:00pm or Sunday, December 16th at 3:00pm
Home for the Holidays
This performance put on by the MN Orchestra is a comedic story telling of Minnesota traditions and holiday stories. Accompanied by the fabulous orchestra, this show will be sure to get you in the holiday spirit.
Friday, December 14th, Sunday, December 16th, and Thursday, December 20th
Disney's Beauty & The Beast
Another production put on by the MN Orchestra! If you haven't been to one of their performances where they play the live music for a feature film, add it to your list. It's certainly on ours! Beauty and the Beast is also one of our favorite Disney movies, so even if it doesn't seem like a Christmas movie to you - it will make a great early gift for someone you love.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas
We have always loved the shows at Children's Theater. They truly know how to make their entertainment into something that any one at any age will enjoy. How the Grinch Stole Christmas should certainly be no different, as it is one of our very favorite holiday stories.

A Christmas Carol
Another holiday classic, A Christmas Carol is one of the most favorite holiday productions. This year, you can see it live at the Gutherie. Let Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future, remind you of some of the important things in life.
Runs November 13th - December 29th
A Charlie Brown Christmas
We have watched A Charlie Brown Christmas as long as I can remember. Here in the Twin Cities, we have quite the love for Charlie Brown, as made evident by the Snoopy's you can still find around the cities. See it live this year for the season to really bring the magic alive.
Runs November 30th - December 22nd
Elf, The Musical
"Buddy, the Elf! What's your favorite color?!" We can't get through the holiday season without watching this movie at least once, maybe five times. This year, you can see it live and in musical fashion to really give you a laugh and get ready for Santa. Performances are held at the Ordway.
Runs through December 30th
Holiday Lights at the Arboretum
The Arboretum in Chaska is hosting a variety of events this year from a S'mores Village with treats and beverages, live music, light viewing, and fun for all. Enjoy the family fun and get a little fresh air before we hid away the rest of the winter!

Trans Siberian Orchestra
Christmas meets a rock show. These performers have their show completely down. Complete with lasers and high enthusiasm, they will play all of their hits and then some. Located at Xcel Energy center, you can make a day or evening of it and visit some spots on 7th Street and hope for a fresh layer of snow to really make it feel like a magical get away.
