Where to Celebrate for the 4th of July

We are already gearing up for a week of 4th of July festivities next week! We love enjoying the summer weather, getting together with friends and family to celebrate, and of course, watching fireworks! If you are staying in the Twin Cities this year for the 4th, there is plenty around the metro to keep you occupied!

Here's a list of some of the best places to watch fireworks, and enjoy some 4th of July fun.

Apple Valley Freedom DaysMusic, food, games, and fireworks! Enjoy the pre-fireworks party starting at 6:00pm at Johnny Cake Ridge Park until the show at 10:00pm.

DelanoIf you are looking for things to do all weekend this is it! From bean bag toss games, bingo, and magicians, you should find plenty to do for the next few days to enjoy the festivities!

Eagan FunfestStarting on Tuesday the 3rd, Eagan has a carnival, parade, music, and late night entertainment, even after the fireworks are gone.

Eden Prairie Hometown Celebration - Games and contests go all day long at this celebration! Not to mention you can try out your karaoke skills or get some extra sun paddle boarding or kayaking.

Excelsior's Lake Minnetonka Celebration  - If you're going to be out on the Lake this 4th of July, you will have quite the show from the water! Swing by the Excelsior area to take a break and do some yoga, visit the petting zoo for the kiddos, and watch the fireworks.

Minneapolis - Minneapolis has several GREAT spots to see fireworks from all around including from the Red, White, Boom celebration that starts early in the morning with a 5K/half marathon and leads into festivities by the Stone Arch Bridge for most of the day. You can't go wrong here!

Richfield - This is also a great spot if you are looking for some afternoon activities! They will have music, a beer garden, and a Guinness Book of World Record for Glow sticks. And of course, the day will end with fireworks.
