Our 2018 Recap!

There's only a couple days of 2018 left! All we can say is where did the year go?! It's so easy to get caught up in the day to day, it is common to lose track of everything you experienced and accomplished over the year. We hope that you have the opportunity to take a few moments to really look back and think of all the amazing things that happened to you this past year. Then get ready to move forward and jump into 2019!

We wanted to give you just a snapshot of what our year looked like in 2018. Just another way for you to see what it's like in the life of a Realtor!

People Helped

Helping people is why we do what we do. We feel so grateful to have the opportunity to serve others by helping them through buying and/or selling a home. This year, we had the opportunity to serve 50 families buy and sell homes.

From first time home buyers, to move up buyers, or people relocating, we had so much fun helping everyone through their transitions.

We were also able to help serve our community by asking clients to bring toilet paper and paper bags to our Spring Customer Appreciation event. We were able to donate 400 rolls of toilet paper to the local food shelf, The Open Door , because of our clients generosity. We also spent an afternoon with our office volunteering in their Apple Valley location, sorting food and cleaning the facility. You can see more about this in our post about it here.

Additionally, our office had the great opportunity to spend another afternoon volunteering at Feed My Starving Children to package meals to children in need. This is one of our favorite charities to volunteer with as you get to help so many people in such a short amount of time. It really goes to show that it is so easy to make a little time to make a big difference.

Favorite Events

Every year, we look forward to our client appreciation events! We strategically schedule them through the year so we get to see all of our friends, family, and clients throughout the year. It's a fabulous way to catch up with everyone and to celebrate the different seasons!

In the Spring, we hold an annual movie viewing event. This past year, we went to see A Wrinkle in Time! We rent out a theater, provide popcorn and drinks to our guests and enjoy an afternoon seeing something new.

For the Summer, our favorite holiday is the 4th of July. To help everyone celebrate we held an open house for people to come up either a cherry or apple pie. We had so much fun seeing everyone at this event and hearing what their plans were for the holiday.

We can't head into the winter months without hosting our Spruce Tip Customer Appreciation Event! This is one of our very favorite days of the whole year. We host it at Pahl's Market in Apple Valley and our clients get to come decorate a Spruce Tip of their own to bring home while enjoying snacks, wine or hot cocoa. You can see more of our event this year in our post about it here.

Finally, our most recent event was our Santa Experience at the Spirit of Brandtjen Farms Barn. This really gets us into the holiday spirit as we get to be Santa's helpers. Kiddos can get face painting, meet Santa, and do a craft. In addition, we have a fabulous spread of food for everything and a raffle with items donated from the community. You can see some of the highlights in our recent blog post about it, here.

Team & Professional Growth

We believe that is it important for our team to take time to be together to discuss our goals for the year, both professionally and personally. To us, the value of being on a team means that we are there to support each other in all aspects of life and to help get us to where we want to go.

In October, we took a weekend to go out of town to have a couple of days to discuss how our year was progressing and to start discussing where we wanted to go in 2019. Most importantly, we took the time to reconnect with each other. Being in Real Estate means a lot of time of all of us going in different directions with meeting with clients. It's important to stay connected and continue to build our personal relationship as well.

Having our Real Estate license also means that we have the privilege to continue our education every year to make sure that we are up to date on what will effect YOU in your Real Estate process. We attended various educational seminars this year, including but not limited to a South of the River Summit where several city Mayors discussed the future plans for their city, a Tech Roadshow, where we learned of the incredible technological advancements Keller Williams is making to make your real estate process more successful, and a two day, continuing education event that included the market pulse to discuss what the market is doing and what to expect.

Finally, as a team we read a selection of books throughout the year to discuss at our weekly team meetings. These books are not just limited to strictly business. They can also help us to be more motivated in every aspect of our lives.

Our Team!

We of course want to give you a little snap shot of our own personal lives too! 2018 proved to be a wonderful year for each of us and have many things to look forward to in 2019!

Rochelle celebrated her birthday and wedding anniversary with her hubby, Kurt, driving the coast in California. They had the amazing opportunity to visit some fantastic wineries, stay in quaint oceanside hotels, and just take some time to relax. She also spent a lot of time with her family and friends.

Kelly got engaged in October! Her and her now fiancé, Scott, celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Charleston and an engagement. They are planning on a 2019 wedding!

Mallory bought her first home with boyfriend, Kevin, right before we head into the new year! She is spending the last weekend of 2018 painting and making renovation plans as they move into their home. It's a Rochelle certified "cutie-pie"!

Again, THANK YOU for making our 2018 so incredible! We cannot wait to see what 2019 brings as we head into the New Year.
