Mallory, your Real Estate Expert

Why did you get into Real Estate? How long have you been in Real Estate?

I grew up watching real estate around me! For those of you that didn’t already know, Rochelle is my mother and has been in Real Estate my entire life. I have been in real estate for 2 years.

If you could give one piece of advice to a home buyer what would it be?

There is no such thing as the perfect home! It’s easy to get nervous or hung up on everything, but try not to! Pick the top things that are most important to you and try to stick to those. Everything else is just a bonus. Trust me, there will be more bonuses than you think!

If you could give one piece of advice to a home seller what would it be?

We know how much you love your home and that it is of course, personal to you! Just try to remember that home buyers are looking for something that they can see themselves in, we recommend ways to present your home to try to make it the easiest for them to picture themselves in the home. It doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t love the way you have kept it.

How do you relax after a hard day of work?

I love to come home and make a nice dinner and have a glass of wine. I find it extremely satisfying and comforting to cook a meal and enjoy it.

What is your Big WHY?

To create a life that I can enjoy with my loved ones! I work hard so my significant other and I can do the things we want to do for our home and enjoy ourselves, as well as making time for my friends and family. It’s even more fun when I can help my friends and family.

Mallory, Our Friend

Where are you from originally? How long have you lived in the Twin Cities?

I’m from Prior Lake! I grew up in MN and only lived out of state during my college years. I am a MN girl through and through.

What is your favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities?

I have a lot of favorites. I love CoV in Wayzata for Happy Hour, Bellecour for pastries, WA Frost’s for their patio.

Do you have a favorite spot/tradition in the twin cities during the:

Summer: I love all the patios throughout the Twin Cities during the summer! One of the things I always try to do however, is get to a Twins game. I go for the food and walking around more than the game!

Spring: As soon as it starts warmer up, I just want to get outside! I love going for walks around Lake Calhoun.

Fall: I love orchards and hikes in the fall! We try to get out as much a possible

Winter: Honestly, I try to stay inside during the winter. Anything that involves a hot chocolate and being cozy is where I am during the cold months.

Do you have a favorite Day Trip /weekend getaway spot from the Twin Cities?

We love going to Stillwater for a day. Another one we really like is going to River Falls! They have a really cute downtown and some pretty trails as well.

If you could have one super power what would it be?

Flying. I’m actually afraid of heights, however, if I could fly, I wouldn’t need to worry!

What is your favorite book or one book you think everyone should read?

For fun – The Nightingale.

Your favorite show to binge watch?

We watch a lot of Friends and Parks & Rec. They’re such easy go to’s!

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

I have always wanted to visit the Redwood forests and am trying to make it my next trip if possible!

A favorite cocktail you think people should try?

There is a prickly pear mojito at The Livery in Eau Claire that is still one of my favorite drinks!

Favorite food?

I’m quite the foodie. However, I can’t live without wine, cheese, and chocolate.

Do you have a fictional place you wish you could visit?

Hogwarts for sure! I am a huge Harry Potter fan!

Where was your all-time favorite vacation or place that you have travelled?

I think I’ve enjoyed every trip I’ve been on, so it’s hard to choose! I was very fortunate enough to visit Sanibel & Captiva Islands in Florida multiple times growing up so I think those will always have a special place for me.

What is one skill or hobby you wish you were better at?

I would love if I was just more coordinated when it comes to sports. I have never been good at sports like volleyball, softball, etc. I think it would be fun to play those in the Summer with friends if I actually knew how to do it!

What are you most grateful for?

I’m extremely grateful for my family and friends. My loved ones are the most important thing in my life
