Twin Cities Ice Cream Shops to Try this Summer

It's officially SUMMER! Being outside without having to put on 10 layers fells so great doesn't it?

One of the ways that we love to spoil ourselves all season long is to go on an ice cream outing. We do love a good Blizzard, however, there are so many great & local ice cream places to try around the cities! Here are some of our favorites, and top rated places to visit with your family or friends this Summer.

Grand Ole Creamery

This is a team favorite. With the homemade waffle cones with the malted milk ball at the bottom, it really doesn't get better. Enjoy your ice cream with a stroll down Summit Ave, or just simply find a spot to sit on Grand Ave and enjoy your ice cream cone.

Izzy's

We love the way they serve the ice cream here! Pick your main flavor and then pick different flavor to have a mini scoop of. It makes it so fun to try something different. Not to mention, it's absolutely delicious.

Sebastian Joe's

Handmade small-batch ice cream at it's finest! With a signature flavor named Nicollet Ave Pothole, how can you not stop by this MN original?

MN Nice Cream

This is one to try on our list! The servings are just begging to be photographed and look like they will satisfy any craving. Also, you can get free edible glitter on your cone!? This is one we'll definitely be trying out this Summer.

Nelson's

If you are ever in the Stillwater area, we highly recommend you try out Nelson's! Smaller in nature, it feels more like a mom n' pop shop and the line is well worth it. After spending the day exploring the city, stop and get some ice cream before heading back to the metro area.

Milk Jam Creamery

This one is another one that almost looks too pretty to eat. Ice cream sandwiches with doughnuts for buns, ice cream cake or pie, and adult floats... Another special date night will have to include trying out this popular spot.
